Jessie is one of those dogs who will be your BFF no matter what. She bonds with her family and is very loving and loyal with her foster mom and her young daughter. She can be a little reserved with strangers but once she knows you, you have a loyal, steadfast companion for life. Still a young girl at about 2 years of age, this Shepherd, Lab and a mix of possibly a couple other breeds is a very well mannered girl. Jessie spent time with our trainer and quickly learned her basic obedience skills and will respond to her commands quickly. She aims to please but is not up in your face about it. She sleeps through the night and is house trained in her foster home with access to the yard. Jessie is just easy going and will go with the flow observing from afar. She can be your at home work partner because you will hardly know she is in the room while you work away or jump on your Zoom calls.

Jessie is wonderful on walks and needs just a walk or two a day to be happy. She is non reactive on her leash when you see people or other dogs which makes your walks relaxing. Jessie loves her 9 year old human foster sister; they play soccer with the neighborhood kids and Jessie is the star! While most of her time is spent lounging, when her playful side comes out, she loves to play with anything - catch, chase and tug of war. She would do best in a home with kids over the age of 6, just due to her size. While she has made a few dog friends through patient intros with her foster family, Jessie can be a little reserved and choosy with other dogs and will need to be the only dog in her forever home. She also thinks kitties should be chased and will need a home without cats. She is a wonderful girl and will do great in a home with a kind and easy going family. If you're interested in meeting Jessie, your first step is completing an adoption application on our website. If you've adopted from us before or are already approved to adopt, reach out to your adoption coach for next steps.

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
