Getting to know Estancia's personality will be a fun journey! She arrived with Labs and More still very much a puppy and not quite 1 year old. She is a beautiful yellow colored Labrador and Husky mix and is about 45lbs so on the low range of a large breed dog. Her stunning clear blue eyes are noticed by everyone she meets. Estancia is wonderful on leash and loves to go on her daily walks with her other 4 and 2 legged friends. She is a young girl who was a little inexperienced with meeting the big world and new people, but after spending some time in a foster home, she has discovered all the good things in life. She is shy and cautious around newcomers and will need a family that continues to work on her training and socialization with her. She is not a dog for first time dog owners and would do best with families that have some dog experience with shyer dogs. She is friendly with other dogs and likes to engage them in playtime. We think she'd be happiest with a confident, playful dog sibling in her forever home. Running in the yard, rolling in the grass, and running or wrestling with her foster mom are some of her favorite things to do. She would be happiest in a single family home with a yard; she would not do well in an apartment. She would do best in a home where she will get continued training, daily physical exercise and mental stimulation, and time with her family who will be patient and supportive of her. Because she has some Husky in her, she does talk back to you sometimes with a word or two but when you ask her to calm down, she does. She barks if someone comes to the door but otherwise is pretty calm inside the house. She will need a family who knows she will need time and patience to settle in, and then once she does, she will be a fun playful girl. She would do best in a home with children over the age of 8 years old. Estancia is both house and crate trained in her current environment. If you are interested in meeting Estancia or any of our dogs, please submit an adoption application on our website. If you have adopted from us before or are already approved with an adoption coach, please reach out to your coach for the next steps.

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
