Isn't Flax handsome? This dog is truly a transformation. He came to Labs and More severely underweight, missing fur and in desperate need of medical care. He has spent the last few weeks in a foster home and look at him now! He's healthy, happy and ready for a forever home! Flax is about 5 years old and we think he's a Shepherd mix with possibly Akita. True to his breed mix, he is very smart, playful and has a lot of energy. He will need an active family that can work out his mind and body every day. He has learned his basic commands but still needs to refine his manners and still likes to pull on leash. He's just so excited for his next adventure! Sometimes he doesn't realize his own size and gets a little rambunctious at playtime so he may be a little much for small children. He would do best in a home with no kids at this time. He is friendly with new people and gets along with other dogs but thinks all kitties should be chased so needs a home with no cats. Flax is affectionate and loves to be pet, and he would prefer a home where his humans are home more often than not. He would be a great adventure buddy as he loves car rides, exploring trails and playing in the water. If you are interested in meeting Flax, please submit an adoption application on our website. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps.
