When you are a mama to 12 puppies, there has to be something extra special about you and there isn't a sweeter, gentler soul than mama Guadalupe! Her parenthood duties are over and Guadalupe is ready to be the center of attention herself in a forever home to call her very own. She is about 2 years old and we think she is a Lab and Hound mix, although there are likely other breeds in the mix because she's such a petite little lady! At around 40 pounds she is the perfect "pocket sized" furever friend. She is very shy when you first meet her, and it took her several days to get comfortable in her foster home, but once she trusts you, you have a friend for life. Her happy grin as she looks up at you while you pet her will melt your heart every time! She is food motivated and takes treats oh-so-gently. Guadalupe is friendly with other dogs, but can be a bit timid at first and takes her time deciding if you're a buddy. She's not particularly playful, but does seem to want to play, so she may enjoy a playmate with time. It took her a week or so in her foster home before she was ready to play with any toys, but she has since discovered the joy of a squeaker toy! Guadalupe has lived with kids and adored them, but needs slow introductions to their friends- a loud household is likely too overwhelming for her right now. She's not an instant-BFF kind of girl, and prefers to approach new people on her terms. She's a great size for a condo or apartment, but would prefer a private yard to do her business and is much more comfortable with outgoing in a yard. She is house trained with access to a yard. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Guadalupe, then fill out an adoption application on our website today! We recommend completing the application process and connecting with a adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps.

Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing.
