This beautiful marshmallow of a dog is Augusta! She is around 2 years old and is likely a mix of many breeds but we think she is a Spitz and Lab mix. Augusta has snowy white fur, a sweet smile, and a gentle, tender hearted demeanor. She was rescued from a cruel situation and it takes a little patience with her to build a trusting relationship but once you do, she is very loyal and a friend for life. She has started playing a bit in her foster home and would love a home with a yard of her own to do zoomies in. Augusta is mastering her leash skills and working on her basic commands. She loves to go on car rides and hikes with her foster family. She has been around other dogs and prefers those who are calmer, more laid back, and who do not expect her to play. She could be in a home with another dog after a proper introduction but also could be an only dog with a family who is home more often than not. Because she can be uncomfortable around yelling and loud noises, Augusta would do best in a quieter, calm home who will be patient with her and would likely do okay with dog savvy children over the age of 8. She is looking for a home that can continuing working on her confidence by introducing her to new people, places and experiences. Augusta is housetrained in her current foster home and sleeps through the night in her crate.
