Labrador Retriever

Grant

Grant is around 3 years old and a black Lab. Grant had hip surgery a several weeks ago and has been recovering in a foster home. While he is doing well in his recovery, he still is learning how to walk on all four legs again and will need an adopter committed to continuing his physical therapy. He enjoys his short and slow walks and enjoys running around in the backyard in short bursts.

Grant is a very mellow boy that loves to snuggle on the couch and sunbathe in the backyard. He is housetrained in his current foster home. He adores his people and would love to be your 65 lb lap dog. Grant is indifferent to other dogs and doesn't care to play with them much. He would be great as the only dog in the home or would be fine with another dog in the home as long as the other dog doesn't expect an energetic playmate. He is an easy boy at home, crate trained and does well when left home alone with access to the backyard for up to 4 hours as long as you reward him with plenty of snuggles when you get home. He is a mellow boy content to snooze in the sun while you are gone and is happy to see you when you return. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Grant when he is ready, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps.

Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing.
