Rebel doesn't really live up to her name…she is just as sweet as a cherry. Her life prior to arriving with Labs and More was not good. She was in a Riverside shelter as skin and bones and unable to eat. She caught our eye on a rescue visit, and we knew she need urgent help. Upon taking her to one of our vet partners, we learned she needed surgery to remove an object from her intestine. Once that was completed, Rebel began to bounce back to life. She recovered quickly and began to gain weight within days.
Rebel's heart is just as big as her floppy ears. We are estimating her breed mix to be Shepherd, Boxer, and Terrier. She will be a large breed girl once she is fully filled out. She is so soft and lovable with a personality to match. Rebel is very good with other dogs and with young pups. Her playstyle is gentle and fun. At her foster home, she is with several other dogs both young and old and she gets along great with them all. Rebel has good house manners and is both house and crate trained. She is not a big barker and is great with her daily walks…with little pulling. She minds well and is not a dog that jumps up on people she meets. At first meeting, she can be a little timid but once she gives you a sniff, you are good to go! We would love to find a family that is committed to loving their dog, who will take her for daily walks and spend time just hanging with her here and there. She loves other dogs but could be an only dog if her family is around more often than not. Rebel just adores attention and is just as sweet and loving as can be. She is eager to give out as many hugs and kisses as she can. If you think you’re ready to add to your family by adopting Rebel, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps.
