Sweet, gentle hearted Jam is about as precious as can be! She is around 2 to 3 years old and we believe she is a mix of Poodle, Spaniel and possibly Maltese. She is a thin, long legged girl with feathery white fur. Jam is very submissive and takes a moment to warm up to new people and places. She is looking for a quieter home with an experienced and patient family that understands timid and submissive dogs. Busy kids may be a little much for her and it will take her some time to warm up to men in a home. She is quick to roll on her back and isn't particularly treat motivated so still working on basic commands, but she is as gentle as can be. Once she warms up, you won't find a more loving and loyal companion. Jam loves being with her people and spending as much time as she can with them. She gets along with other dogs, but she doesn't need another dog sibling in her forever home as she prefers the company of humans.
Jam is not a social butterfly, take-anywhere-adventure dog but she makes for a wonderful walking buddy. She walks nicely on leash and is a lower energy girl good with a neighborhood walk a day. She can also be left home uncrated for a few hours with no issues. It took a few weeks for her to settle in and figure out the routine but she is now housetrained in her current foster home. While she will potty on leash with a lot of patience, she would like do best in a home with a small private outdoor space of her own to do her business. Her ideal home would be with a retired adopter or adopter home more often than not with their own backyard and looking for a homebody snuggly companion to take on neighborhood strolls or park walks.
