The Howl-O-Ween Mutt Run isn’t just an event on our calendar – it’s a mission in motion. Every step we take, every dollar we raise, provides the lifesaving care for the 900 dogs we rescue each year.
This year, we reached an incredible milestone: our 16,000th dog rescued. These dogs faced an empty future and now have loving homes, warm beds, and a second chance. But for thousands more in Southern California, the fight is far from over. Many dogs are still trapped in overcrowded, heartbreaking shelter conditions, where the only way out is euthanasia.
We house the dogs we save at our Rescue Ranch Care Center where hope begins the moment they arrive. Each dog receives medical treatment, nourishing food, exercise, training, and most of all—love. Every day, over 150 dogs who once had nowhere to turn are safe because of Your Generosity!

Race day check in: 7:30am

Adoption event: 10am – noon
Sharp Healthcare, 5651 Copley Dr, San Diego, has generously donated use of their parking lot for Mutt Run run day just a short walk from the event.
There is an adoption event after the run!
We will have our regular adoption event from 10:00am to noon at the Mutt Run location at Road Runner Sports, 5553 Copley Drive, San Diego.
Of course!! Would Labs and More have a Mutt Run without the dogs? Bring your furry friends (leashed of course) to run the course with you.
Yes! you can bring your young ones in strollers, and older kids to run with you.
Children do not need to register but older children who will be running will need to have a bib with their own registration.
