Meet Capital

A few weeks ago, Diane, our founder and Executive Vice President,  arrived at the Ranch with a pregnant mama at around 2 in the afternoon. Just an hour after a much-needed bath, Capital delivered her first puppy! Now, this brave girl has eight tiny black bundles of joy.

Despite her injuries, this sweet mama is tirelessly caring for her babies. She made it to safety just in time—finally secure enough to bring her little ones into the world and trusting us to help her along the way.

This is the difference love and care can make. ❤️

Meet Irish

Irish was found hiding in a ditch, desperately trying to keep her seven babies safe and fed. A kind person discovered her and took her to a shelter. LAM partners with this shelter to take in pregnant moms and moms with puppies, so when we heard about Irish, we arranged to bring her to safety.

Imagine our surprise when we opened the crate and found not seven puppies, but eight! Somewhere along the way, another pup had joined her litter. Can you guess which one doesn’t quite fit in? Despite being so skinny and worn down, Irish lovingly cared for the extra pup along with her own.

Now, her babies are thriving and have started drinking milk from a bowl. Soon, they’ll move to a puppy foster. Irish, on the other hand, will need a special foster to help her regain her strength and recover.

This brave and loving mom deserves all the care in the world—and we know there’s a very special family out there just waiting to give her the life she’s always deserved.

Meet Diya

Strong, brave Diya came to us from the streets, with a stop at our vet along the way. She had been injured, so an ultrasound was done to check for internal injuries. Thankfully, there were none. But to everyone’s surprise, they discovered she was expecting six puppies and would be delivering soon!

Diya decided she enjoyed having her soft bed all to herself, plus all the chicken she wanted, so she waited another week before giving birth—delivering not six, but seven healthy babies.

This sweet girl has had a tough life, and her scars tell the story of her struggles. But she’s safe now, surrounded by love, as she waits for her forever family to find her.

Meet Birdie

This sweet little girl was  found as a stray. In her first picture, you can see the wary look in her eyes as she wonders if we can be trusted. But the compassionate people at the Ranch, who pour their hearts into caring for dogs, quickly showed her she was safe. Birdie could sense their kindness, and when the time came for her to have her six babies, she trusted us to help her through it.

Birdie is a gentle, sweet soul. With the striking white circle around her nose and her white socks, she has a beauty as unique as her spirit.

She is just one of the many moms who find their way to the Ranch—a safe, warm place where they can deliver and care for their babies, surrounded by love and support.
