Meet Diya!
Strong, brave Diya came to us from Mexico, with a stop at our vet along the way. She had been injured, so an ultrasound was done to check for internal injuries. Thankfully, there were none. But to everyone’s surprise, they discovered she was expecting six puppies and would be delivering soon!
Diya decided she enjoyed having her soft bed all to herself, plus all the chicken she wanted, so she waited another week before giving birth—delivering not six, but seven healthy babies.
This sweet girl has had a tough life, and her scars tell the story of her struggles. But she’s safe now, surrounded by love, as she waits for her forever family to find her.
